Plates & Bowls
Bread Dip Dishes
Grate a garlic clove over the bottom of the bowl, add olive oil and your choice of herbs and spices, and dip away! These dishes pair nicely with my plates & bowls, and they make a wonderful gift for your garlic-loving friends. Use your imagination, grate fresh ginger and add soy sauce for a fish or vegetable dip.
Vases & Pots
Who doesn't love a handmade mug? Mugs are very personal and they make a thoughtful gift for anyone, including (and especially) you!
Add a warm glow to the night with a lit candle in one of my candleholders.
Relax and enjoy knitting without having to worry about your yarn balls rolling away! Enjoy the beautiful bowl, as well.
From Japanese 楽 (raku, “fun, delightful”) for the pottery used in the Japanese tea ceremony; Raku is a method of firing pottery. Each piece is fired in a kiln until the piece reaches about 1800 F. The piece is removed with tongs while red hot and placed in a container with a combustible material like paper or sawdust. The combustible material ignites and the fire & smoke react with the glaze to create very unique and unpredictable colors, lusters and patterns. Each piece of Raku is a one of a kind work of art! Raku pieces are not suitable to hold liquids but can serve well as candy dishes, potpourri pots, holding any dry material, or as decorative art.
